Indiandoctor4u//Delhi Bureau // In 2020 there are several remarkable work done in the field of AYUSH. One of them was Setting up of WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in India. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of WHO, on the occasion of celebration of 5th Ayurveda Day on 13th November 20 gave a video message and praised the Prime Minister’s commitment to the universal coverage under Ayushman Bharat and evidence-based promotion of traditional medicines to achieve health related objectives.
DG announced the setting up of the GCTMI(Global Centre of Traditional Medicine in India). The Prime Minister also thanked WHO and the DG for choosing India for the Global Centre of Traditional Medicine.
